Monks Retreat Self Catering (4-6 Guests)

Our apartment is entirely self-contained and is positioned on the top floor of this historic manor house. The private side gateway guides you through a courtyard garden to an elm studded medieval door. The staircase leads you on to the recently refurbished apartment in the vast attic space, lovely old oak beams and beautiful views of the rolling countryside.

The apartment sleeps 4-6 plus cot. There is a flagstone entrance hall with two flights of stairs leading to hallway, sitting room, dining room with fireplace, fully fitted kitchen, master bedroom with 5' double bed and shower en suite, twin bedroom with two 3' beds, bathroom with bath and separate power shower.

Oak beams throughout, pretty dormer windows to rear, gas central heating, gas hob, electric oven, dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dryer, CD player/stereo, DVD player, private parking, free Wi-Fi, courtyard garden with barbeque, cot and high chair available on request.

West Wing Self Catering (4-5 Guests)

The 'West Wing' is approached through the main front door to Manor Farm House. The incredibly spacious sitting room has four large sunny windows, oak dining table, lots of comfy sofas, flat screen TV, DVD player, Hi Fi and Bose ipod speaker. There is a fully fitted 'secret' kitchen with double oven, dishwasher, microwave and stylish Smeg fridge.

The beautiful circular oak staircase leads you on to two en-suite bedrooms on the first floor. A beautiful four poster bedroom with spacious bathroom with separate bath and shower and travertine flooring with underfloor heating. The second bedroom is stylishly decorated, has a large double bed (or twin beds), two large sunny windows overlooking the front of the manor and a shower en suite. Additional beds/cots can be placed in either room when required.

Private parking, free Wi-Fi, gas central heating, high chair on request and pretty front garden area with seating.

Manor Wing Self Catering Exclusive Use - 10-15 guests

Why not take over half the Manor? Manor Farm House is available for exclusive use for wedding parties, family celebrations and Hen weekends. We are perfectly located in this gorgeous Manor House in the centre of the pretty village of Norton St Philip. Fabulous pubs within minutes walk. If you are organising an event and want luxury in the heart of the countryside, yet within 15 minutes of Bath, the Manor is perfect!

The Manor Wing can accommodate 10 - 15 guests and comprises of a huge entertaining room on the ground floor with wood burning stove, lots of comfy sofas, large TV and dining for 10-15 guests. There is a fully equipped 'secret kitchen' on this floor and another kitchen on the top floor.

There are four guest rooms at the Manor along with a second sitting room on the top floor with a sofa bed for 2. Additional beds can be placed in the spacious bedrooms to accommodate extra guests. There is also a second dining room and sitting room with three large sofas on the top floor. Two of the bedrooms, one ensuite and one with separate bathroom are on the top floor with two further bedrooms, both en-suite on 1st floor.

About Norton St Philip

Norton St Philip is a very pretty ancient village and a wonderful place to relax after a busy day. Bath is a 15 minute drive (not in the rush hour!). The village has two pubs - The George Inn, claimed to be the oldest in England and the Fleur de Lys. Both serve delicious home cooked food. There are two local shop farm shops. A variety of countryside walks from your doorstep. Easy access to Bath with its' tourist attractions, restaurants, Theatre Royal and shops. Children's play park is 1 minute away. Horse riding facilities are only 2 miles away. The Bath area has a large selection of golf courses.
